Still
here in San Diego! If you have to be delayed anywhere, I guess it’s not such a
bad place to be. The weather today is a bit cooler and cloudier than yesterday.
All of our other dock friends have left. They are all on their way to exciting
destinations. One boat is on their way to Hawaii and the others are on their
way to Turtle Bay and/or Cabo. We are the only ones left on the guest dock. I
feel a little left out that we are not on our way too. Hopefully we will be
leaving today around dusk. We’d like to get to Ensenada early tomorrow morning
and check in and get our Visa’s. I know we are picking up a couple of new crewmembers
while we are there as well. So keep you fingers crossed, all gets done today so
we can leave!
Yesterday
was a great day here. The sun was shining and it was warm with a gentle breeze
blowing. It was also great because I got to visit my college roommate who just
so happens to live in La Jolla! She came and whisked me away in her Porsche
Cayenne with her two adorable little dogs and treated me to lunch. It was so
fun to see her and get caught up! The last time we visited each other is when
my daughter Lauren was a couple months old…so, almost 30 years. Seeing Marilyn
was the best part of yesterday.
Later
that evening Rick, Jeff and I went to dinner at the Kona Kai resort. Peggy was
busy on the computer with paperwork that she wanted to get done so did not join
us. After dinner…you got it…we
watched another mystery movie. Jeff and I were the only ones who did not see
really any of it. Rick and Peggy were diehards and watched it through.
This
morning we all drove to a cute little coffeehouse called ‘The Living Room’ off
Rosecrans and had breakfast. Peggy was able to use the Wi-Fi and get some more
important details completed on the computer. After a delicious breakfast, we
drove to West Marine, Home Depot, and to a few other marine stores. What fun! :/

Jeff’s
brother John stopped by for a visit just as Jeff and Rick were off to do some
more errands. As soon as they return, Peggy and I will go and get provisions.
THEN….hopefully THEN, we can go!!
I
will miss our little sea lion friends and hope to see more of them along with
other sea mammals on our way!
The
next time you hear from us, it should be from Mexico.

Love the sea lion picture! :-) By the way, Maryalice, our mixed 40+ 6.0 team is going to Phoenix for the Nationals Championship this Friday. We are all very excited. Hope to bring home the trophy..
